We’re conscious that our main construction materials are plastics – which historically aren’t the best for the environment. All the plastics in our products are recyclable to some degree (and even more recyclable every day), along with any metals that used for support/wearing.
Having said that, we hope that you never want to recycle your jewellery! But if you do, feel free to return it to us, and we’ll ensure that it is disposed of in an environmentally friendly way.
Perler/Hama fuse beads
Perler and Hama fuse beads are made from LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene). These materials haven’t been the most recycled in the past, but more and more recyclers are able to recycle these materials to be reused.
3D Printed pieces
The majority of our 3D pieces are constructed out of PLA (Polylactic Acid), which is a thermoplastic that is derived from corn-starch, and is biodegradable under industrial composting conditions.
